Am I ever truly on "break?" If you've been missing Vinyl Monday, never fear! In my time off, I made a return appearance on one of my favorite music podcasts. Losing My Opinion is a show about having music opinions: strange, controversial, and sometimes just plain whack. It's also about sharing said music opinions - something I happen to do a lot! This show is one of my favorite Vinyl Monday traditions - this is my fourth appearance overall.
Thomas (AKA Niagara Moon) opens the episode with a lovely ode to one of my favorite "hidden" figures in rock-and-roll, Doug Yule of the Velvet Underground. Seeing as I like to bring chaos and destruction to this show, I accidentally freaked out Thomas and Matt (AKA Thin Lear) with my segment titled "Songs My Neighbors (Probably) Hate." What do Nico and Sabrina Carpenter have in common? What song sounds like making a smoothie at 2 in the morning? How did I scare the daylights out of an unsuspecting Amazon driver? a totally expected selection of the unexpected. crimson sounded supreme in different circumstances. you always seem to have fun over there with those guys and that makes me like them immensely.
