The full discography of Mojave 3 is finally reissued by 4AD, with remasters by Abbey Road Studios

"Many a writer and critic have described Mojave as 'Americana-inspired' and 'alt-country.' Or worse, a 'supergroup.' These labels are inaccurate at best, reductive at worst. Though Mojave was a Slowdive and Chapterhouse side project, there was not a lick of the hype that hounds the archetypal supergroup. With all their respective influences at play, Mojave defy genre any classification more specific than that pesky amorphous “indie rock” thing. (Post-shoegaze?) One thing is for certain: where Slowdive were about the sound, Mojave 3 were about the song."

The song is finally showcased on 4AD’s very first reissue of the Mojave 3 catalog. Past preorders for Ask Me Tomorrow always sold out instantly, and for increasingly ridiculous reasons I missed out on them all. I swore this time would be different. This opportunity was just too good to miss.

(...and I'll take any opportunity I can to swoon over the songwriting of Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell. What am I if not a known Slowdive girlie?)
