It's a collab episode about a collab song! Vinyl Monday and Vinyl Friday meet up for a special White Album episode.
In case you didn't know: I'm not the only "vinyl weekday" show!
My friend Nancy, AKA Fathom on YouTube, started her own Vinyl Friday show around the same time I started Vinyl Monday. We were halfway across the world sharing our passion for record collecting, rock-and-roll, and of course the Beatles, and we had no idea until the power of the internet brought us together. Now Nancy and I have collaborated on a few videos in the past, including with "Trifecta" collective member and honorary weekday-holder Lars Land. (We're collecting all the Vinyl Weekdays like infinity stones.)
Of course George is my favorite Beatle, the White Album is my favorite Beatles album, and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is my favorite Beatles song. It's almost too on-brand! So when Nancy let the Trifecta know she was bringing guests onto her White Album track-by-track breakdown series and that we could each pick an episode to guest star on, of course I went for the George song with his buddy Eric Clapton on it. We grappled with the time difference (gotta love when your friends are across the International Date Line,) hopped on Zoom, and made a super-special Vinyl Friday "In The Wings: How 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' Foretold the End of The Beatles." It's a collab episode about a collab song!

Thank you Nancy for letting me hijack another weekday! I had so much fun talking about my favorite Beatle (and the guy I seem to be stuck in a "get-along shirt" with) on your channel, and I can't wait for our next entry in the Trifecta canon.
